Metta meditation from the Buddhist teachings translated as "Loving-Kindness" is a heart practice that offers benefits such as feelings of gratitude, a sense of connection with Self, and others. Feelings of compassion and empathy. As Neem Karoli Baba said "You get angry and throw someone out of your home, but NEVER throw them out of your heart" all this would do is cause suffering to yourself.
